‘The Nice Guys’ Sequel Confirmed in Daydream
Someone has to question the mermaid, again.
From a bush somewhere in the United States, I can now confirm that The Nice Guys is getting a sequel, according to local cinephile Thomas Wells.
“Yeah, so, March and Healy are back, and like they’re investigating a news case,” confirmed Wells as he looked around the room for sources of inspiration. “And Shane Black is back writing and directing, but not like the current Shane Black who made Play Dirty or who’s doing weird script services that suck, it’s the Shane Black who wrote The Nice Guys back in 2001. We somehow have to conk him on the head and get him back to that mindset.”
Wells went on to detail the plot of his daydreamed sequel.
“So, like, the first one took on the auto industry and the porn industry, what if this one explored another industry,” Wells said, trying to recall any industry at all. “Maybe like the furniture industry? Or what about a casino? Yes, gambling in the 80s. March and Healy would fit right into that, an investigation involving gambling and the 80s. Maybe March’s daughter has gone missing? I don’t know, I’ll leave all the plot stuff to 2001 Shane Black.”
We caught up with Ryan Gosling on the set of Marvel’s Ghost Rider, and he is game for a sequel.
“Ahhhhhhhh. Get me out of here. Ahhhhhh. It hurts. It hurts so bad,” Gosling said, chained to a motorcycle and set on fire, during part of an impressive fire stunt he decided to do himself. “I’ll do anything to get out of all these Disney movies. Hell, I’m doing this fire stunt on the offset it kills me and I can stop doing all this big budget garbage. Tell you what, if this Wells guy gets 2001 Shane Black involved, I am one-hundred percent in.”
At press time, Wells went brick shopping for the perfect brick to conk Shane Black with. The bush I hid in for this scoop was Nixon Nightshade.
