Dropout’s ‘Game Changer’ to Crossover with Fox’s ‘America’s Most Wanted’
You can run, but you can’t hide.
From a bush outside of the Dropout studios, I can now confirm that Dropout’s popular improvised game show, Game Changer will air a crossover episode with Fox’s America’s Most Wanted in the coming weeks. I caught up with the host of America’s Most Wanted, John Walsh, to discuss his planned appearance on Game Changer.
“You may think I’m going on to the show to just play games and have fun, but I’ve got bigger fish to fry,” Walsh said, crossing his arms and staring into my soul, as if he could see every crime I have ever committed. “I’m going deep undercover into this ring of improvisers to bust a criminal. Who, you might ask? I’m not sure yet, but if there’s anything I know about improv, where there’s improvisers, there is sure to be a sex criminal, waiting to strike.”
Walsh’s history in criminal justice precedes him, but he knows he has a checkered past that will turn off some of the Dropout audience.
“I’ve made some nasty generalizations about male babysitters in the past and I need you to know, I’m not sorry,” Walsh said before reassuring me that he doesn’t really trust other men to do anything good in any situation. “I’m just here to protect the innocent improvisers from the predators. UCB, The Improv Olympics, Second City, all these institutions have tried and failed to protect their improvisers. That’s where I come in. These sickos can run, but they can’t hide.”
Dropout CEO and Adam Conover clone, Sam Reich, took to Bluesky to comment on concerns about the crossover and Dropout’s apparent willingness to work with any entity, no matter how problematic.
“We need money,” Reich wrote, ending the post with multiple dollar sign emojis to drive home his point. “Do you know how much it costs to create all these Dimension 20 seasons and spin-offs? I’m not going to lose any sleep having John Walsh on the platform if it means I can fund twenty more shows with my friends playing Dungeons and Dragons for our lonely millennial audience.”
At press time Walsh made his appearance on Game Changer and participated in a game where he had to pretend he was a door-to-door waffle salesman. The bush I hid in for this scoop was a Haha Bush.
