Tom Holland Celebrates Finishing Press Tour Without Spoiling ‘The Odyssey’
Spoiler free.
From a bush outside of his home in Richmond, London, I can now confirm that Tom Holland cracked open a couple bottles of his non-alcoholic beers to celebrate finishing The Odyssey press tour without spoiling any major details from the movie.
“I’m honestly in disbelief right now. This is the first movie I’ve ever worked on that I haven’t spoiled” said Holland before declining a call from Kevin Feige. “I’m just really proud of myself. When I took this role, I made a promise to Zendaya that I wasn’t going to leak anything, and it looks like I’m about to fulfill that. Just one more day until the movie gets released and I’ll be home free, just like Odysseus was at the end of the movie when he finally makes it ho—uehhggg Jesus that was close.”
Tom Holland went on to explain how excited he is for audience members to experience the story of The Odyssey for the first time ever.
“I’m envious of them. I want to be able to go back in time a week ago, to before the global premier of the movie, so I can experience this story again for the very first time,” said Holland. “It truly is a tale of epic proportion, and everyone is going to be blown away. I still can’t believe Christopher Nolan came up with the idea and wrote the entire script by himself, but I guess that’s why he’s one of the greats. God, I just wish I had one of those things from Men in Black that wipes your memory so I could—oh shit did I just spoil that?”
During a recent interview Benedict Cumberbatch, Holland’s Marvel co-star, expressed how proud he was of Tom for not divulging any secrets related to the movie.
“Tom has come such a long way from when I had to babysit him during the press tour for Infinity War because everyone was afraid that he was going to give the entire plot away,” said Cumberbatch. “Now look at him. He said absolutely nothing about Odysseus returning home as a beggar or how the cyclops is Poseidon’s son. I’m really proud of him. Please for the love of god no one tell him it’s a 3,000 year old poem. Let him have this one.”
At press time, Tom Holland accidentally spoiled the ending to Spider-Man: Brand New Day during an Instagram live event. The bush I hid in for this scoop was a Spoiled Honeysuckle.
