Jimmy Fallon Says He Teleported to Set of ‘SNL UK’
“I was lifted up.”
From a bush on the other side of the pond, I can now confirm that Jimmy Fallon is claiming that he was teleported to the SNL UK set during the show’s latest taping.
“It was Thursday and I was yelling at some intern, then in a blink of an eye I was on set next to Nicola Coughlan,” Fallon said in a recent podcast appearance. “I not only teleported onto SNL UK, I also time traveled to get there. Nicola, who I love by the way, was there. Then with another blink I was on a Weekend Update set, but it wasn’t mine. There were some mustached brit and a lady who wasn’t Tina Fey or Amy Poehler. I was so confused. So, I just held their hands until I hopped back over to New York.”
The show’s host, Nicola Coughlan, was caught off guard by the sudden appearance of Fallon.
“I had a whole bit about Derry Girls I was going to do, but then I had to completely improvise when Jimmy just showed up like a deer in the headlights, “Coughlan said at a red carpet event earlier this week. “I still think it’s weird he appeared almost immediately after I referenced coke.”
An SNL UK intern shed some light on the sudden appearance of Fallon.
“I drove the guy from the airport to the studio,” said the intern who wished to remain anonymous. “He was a surprise cameo, but the entire night he just kept saying, ‘how is this happening,’ and “where and MORESO when am I going to land next?’ The guy needs help.”
At press time, Fallon time traveled through another week of licking boots at The Tonight Show. The bush I hid in for this scoop was a Mary Poppins Willow.
