Actor Open to Reprising Role that Made Them Millions of Dollars

HE’S BACK! HE’S BACK!

From a bush outside of a recent red carpet premiere, I can now confirm that Tobey Maguire is very open to reprising his role as Spider-Man, which has made him millions of dollars in past portrayals.

“It’s a character that my heart, soul, and bank account are still really invested in continuing,” Maguire told press at the premier, which he attended with his girlfriend, who is young enough to consider Andrew Garfield her Spider-Man. “There’s a lot more I think Sam [Raimi] and I can milk out of Sony and Marvel. They clearly still have Morbius money to throw around, why not send it my way?”

This news sent shockwaves through Marvel fandom across the internet after rumors were already swirling that Maguire would return in Avengers: Doomsday. Many have voiced their excitement for this possibility, while others have criticized the blatant cash grab.

Spider-Man: No Way Home opened the door for any former superhero to knock on Kevin Feige’s door and demand a paycheck bigger than the average American’s yearly income,” said film critic Dave Simion on the Film Fight Podcast. “No shit he’s open to the idea of returning, just like Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Hugh Jackman, this isn’t about the art it's about the cha-ching.”

When asked about these rumors at a screening of Wonder Man, Marvel executive producer Kevin Feige gave a typical question dodging response, while simultaneously making a bold statement about the future of Marvel films.

“Look, anything is possible. We’ve got multiverses, different dimensions, and an ever-expanding universe of planets and heroes that were written in little colorful books back in the 70s and 80s,” he said, dawning a baseball covered in the logos of billion-dollar franchises. “I think fans will be pleased with just how many actors we’re going to squeeze into the frame, really putting my bottomless piggybank to good use, I’d say.”

At press time Eric Bana, Edward Norton, and Lou Ferrigno had all posted on social media hinting at a Hulk cameo, ad campaign, and Fortnight crossover. The bush I hid in for this story was a Golden Age Shrub.
