Jonathan Nolan Changes Credit on Latest Project to "The Nolan Brothers" Against Brother's Wishes
Brothers spotted bickering at Night+Market.
From a bush outside of the Night+Market in WeHo, I can now confirm that executive producer and younger brother, Jonathan Nolan, has credited himself in his latest unannounced project as ‘The Nolan Brothers’ to the chagrin of his older, more famous brother, Christopher. The brothers could be heard bickering at their table, while waiting for their dinner to arrive.
“Take my name off of it, Jonny,” Christopher said, before taking his younger brother’s chair, forcing him to stand. “If you want to use my name on a project, use my name on a project. Don’t do the “brothers” thing. It’s played out and hack. It used to be cool when the Coens did it. Now they don’t even do it anymore.”
After attempting to pull his chair back from his older brother, Jonathan fell to the ground. It was a commotion that put all eyes on the brothers. Jonathan then rose to his knees to plea with his brother.
“Come on, Chrissy,” Jonathan said, with his hands locked together as if praying to some film god. “Brothers still do it. The Russos and Duffers do it all the time. I’m sure the Coens and Safdies will do it again one day. Can we please please please do this one as the Nolan Brothers? It’ll be really neat and no one will speculate which of us did all the work.”
Christopher responded to Jonathan' s pleas by stabbing him in the hand with a fork. An all-out war was on the brink, then matriarch of the family, Christina Jensen, returned from the restroom to restore the peace.
“Both of you, knock it off or I’m taking your movies and TV shows away,” Jensen said, sending both Nolan boys back to their feet. “Chrissy, give Jonny his chair back. I told you to knock it off with the chair stealing. Jonny, stop trying to validate your work by glomming Chrissy on, especially if he doesn’t want to be on the project. You boys are so embarrassing. I just wanted to have a nice lunch and here you are fighting. I have nice lunches with Matty all the time. Why can’t you two be more like your brother Matty?”
At press time Jensen had Matt Nolan on speaker phone to the chagrin of the younger Nolan boys. The bush I hid in for this scoop was a Zimmer Shrub.
