From a bush on 6666 Ranch in Texas, I can now confirm that the latest Yellowstone spin-off, The Madison, will introduce the first openly straight character in the Yellowstone franchise. Taylor Sheridan confirmed the news on set while filming the new series.

“After writing gay characters for the last seven years, I thought it was finally time to take a stab at writing a few straight characters,” Sheridan said, shirtless and lifting a hay bale over his head between takes. “I am tired of shows that deal with sexual orientation subtly. Stop straight baiting your audience and have that man kiss that woman, damn it. Once the kiss is done, you never have to bring it up again anyway.”

Sheridan then went into detail about returning characters.

“As long as their actors don’t ask for more money at the negotiating table, all your gay favorites will be returning,” Sheridan said, shirtless, on top of a horse before barking orders to some other shirtless riders. “Anyone with a little media literacy under their belt could tell all the Dutton’s and the supporting cast were gay. For Christ’s sake, look at the way I spelled Kaycee. I even named one Rip. And Beth, she is a loose cannon, you never knew what she was going to do.”

Fans have already taken to the internet to voice their disappointment in the new series’ direction. Sheridan is already hard at work to shut that down.

“The flyover gay viewers are just going to have to get over it. There’s room in this universe for everyone.”

At press time the first episode of The Madison had aired, revealing the new straight characters to be the bad guys.

The bush I hid in for this story was a Turkish Cap, which will need a trim if it hopes to survive this upcoming Texas winter.
